Suitcases Of Memories...

Cyndi Lauper turned 60 this weekend!

I adore that woman, have pretty much everything she has ever released and finally got to see her in concert a couple of years ago. Can't believe she's 60 now - she certainly doesn't act or look it!

Cyndi is currently on her She's So Unusual tour, celebrating the (gulp) 30th anniversary of her debut solo album. She just won a Tony Award, her last album was a major critical success and she still works tirelessly to promote equality for gay people. A late happy birthday to one of my absolute favorite icons: Miss Cyndi Lauper.

Here is a look at the career of one of the most unique and talented girls of all time.

Glad you had a good time :)

When we saw Miss Lauper a couple of years ago, we did a medley of "He's So Unusual/911/Rocking Chair" and finished with the lesbo-fab "Brimstone And Fire". Aaaah, good times ;)

OMG the show was FABULOUS!!!!!! it's so funny and gay :) I loved her songs and the Lola (the drag queen) was brilliant :)

Gay??? Why, with a poster like that (not to mention Cyndi and Harvey), I would have thought this was a very butch musical (like most musicals are, hehe).

Would love to see it, along with the Motown musical - although I don't envy the poor girl who has to try and be as fabulous as Miss Ross!

No I do not envy anyone who has to be as ultra fabulous and to wear all that hair :) we would have loved to see more shows on Broadway but they are sooooo expensive :(
