Madonna celebrated her 30th anniversary in the business on stage in San Jose last night - by performing the song that started it all!

It's hard to believe - but October 6th marks Madonna's 30th anniversary in the music business!



Yes, it was 30 years ago when the soon to be queen of pop released her very first single - "Everybody".

The record's sleeve may not have featured Madonna's face, but the song soon became a huge club hit. October 6th, 2012, will mark her 30th Anniversary in the entertainment world. She has released many hit singles and number one albums through the years, most of them featuring Madonna on its cover. Time for us to celebrate this special anniversary and to pay tribute to her incredible career using her own work as source of inspiration!

Now, all you need to do is to pick your favourite Madonna single or album sleeve and to come up with your own sleeve face creation! According the EMI Japan, Kylie Minogue's first four studio albums released between 1988-1991 during her time with PWL Records are to be remastered and released along with special bonus tracks (some previously unavailable on CD)!

A release date of November 7th has been announced. For now this release is exclusive to Japan only. Hopefully the releases will also include other territories soon.

The Mysteries Of Love...

From her days with Propaganda and Act, and with Andrew Poppy, and most recently in the global hit video game L.A. Noire, electro-torch singer Claudia Brücken could always be relied on to deliver a cracking, imaginative version of someone else's song. Working with famed producer Stephen Hague (New Order, Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Robbie Robertson), they put together an exhilarating collection of intensely atmospheric songs by other people that are both a celebration of the mood, majesty and mystery of a great pop song, and also a journey along an imaginary coast line of an imaginary country, a soundtrack to a view out to sea, and the thoughts of what lies ahead. Brücken, with Hague, cover unexpected songs by the very well known - Bowie, the Band, Bee Gees, Electric Light Orchestra - songs she was always destined to sing - Pet Shop Boys, Julee Cruise - and songs by the less well known that should be well known - Dubstar, Lilac Time and Stina Nordenstam. The Lost are Found is a brilliant anthology of melancholy pop, sung by one of pop's most ingenious interpreters and produced by one of the great pop producers.

Two classic Madonna films are about the get the Blu-Ray treatment.

A League Of Their Own comes out on October 16th, while Dick Tracy comes out on December 11th. Both are being released in the US - hopefully they will work on my R2 player...

Leaving The Tracklist...

The final tracklist for the new Pet Shop Boys single has been released.

CD1 includes "Leaving" plus two new songs, "Hell" and "In his imagination", and the 2003 demo of "Baby".

CD2 has the "Lost her love" remix of "Leaving" by Dusty Kid, the "HappySad" remix by Andrew Dawson and the original 2010 demo of "Leaving" produced by Pet Shop Boys.

The 12-inch vinyl has the "Lost her love" remix and the "HappySad" and "HappyHour" remixes by Andrew Dawson.

Three digital formats will also be released on October 14th which include the tracks on CD1 and CD2 listed above as well as three brand new remixes of "Leaving" by Pet Shop Boys.

"Leaving", will be released in the UK on October 15th.
