I am sorry about the lack of updates recently, I have been (and continue to be) quite busy these days.

There has been pretty long time since I uploaded a batch of new tracks that I like. And there is a simple reason: there just haven't been that many! 2012 is going down as one of the most uninspired music years ever. But, there are still some treats to be found and here is a collection of some of my favorite tracks over the past few months:



(Thankfully, in the almost complete absence of good, upbeat pop music I have been having a great time over the last few months with a musical discovery that I will post about soon)

2012 has been a pretty terrible music year so far IMO. Only a couple of good albums and not an awful lot of  great singles either - which is why it's been quite a while since I last posted some tracks. But I did manage to get some songs together that make up a selection of everything from the excellent to the tacky goodness we all adore. So here goes:

The Haunted Man...

Bat For Lashes will release her third album on October 15th. It is called The Haunted Man and has been described as "dark and dramantic".

Haunted Bat...

Bat For Lashes has announced her third album, The Haunted Man. It will be released on October 15 via Parlophone.

The record follows 2009's critically-acclaimed Two Suns, which peaked at number five in the UK and has sold over 250,000 copies to date. Her debut record Fur Gold was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2006 and the singer won an Ivor Novello 'Best Contemporary Song' award for "Daniel" from her last album.

Bat Again...

Bat For Lashes has confirmed that her 3rd album will be released this year. It will be the follow up to the amzing 2009 album Two Suns. The singer has described the new album as even more "dark, lush and glamorous" then her previous work. Cant wait then! Here is the first single from Two Suns, the fantastic "Daniel":
