Bits...
*Kylie Minogue is in the process of planning a musical based on her career.
According to the Irish Evening Echo, she will collaborate with stylist William Baker to write the show.
Minogue revealed: "It's definitely happening. We've brought a scriptwriter in and are working on a few synopses.
"And the critics ... music critics are one thing but theatre critics are something else. I suppose if it doesn't work then that's it - it's a closed book."
Meanwhile, Baker said: "We're both working on the Kylie musical, using all her songs, which will hopefully be done next year some time. I can't wait!"
In other Kylie news, she has just started her US tour. Treating crowds to her signature brand of dance infused pop, Kylie is dusting off her biggest hits and mixing them in with her new pop creations. Much to the delight of fans, the phenomenal show includes most of the tracks that made Kylie a pop icon, including “Confide In Me,” “Slow,” “In My Arms,” “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “The Loco-Motion” and the brilliant “All The Lovers.”
The Boston Globe raves, “On her maiden voyage to Boston, stopping at the Agganis Arena last night, the Australian pop star brought a two-hour spectacle that made you wonder why it has taken her so long to tour the United States.”
To celebrate the tour, Kylie is releasing a new exclusive digital EP North American Tour Bonus Edition on May 3rd. The EP consists of 5 live recordings, three from a semi-acoustic BBC Live Lounge session – “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “All The Lovers” and “Get Outta My Way”, and two recorded live in New York in October 2009 during Kylie’s first North American Tour – “Better Than Today” and “Confide In Me”. As a special fan treat the EP also includes a short film featuring behind the scenes footage of Kylie on tour plus original tour wardrobe sketches by Dolce & Gabbana.
Also, on May 31st Kylie will release “Put Your Hands Up” (but only a digital release, sadly). The EP will include the album track with brand new remixes including the fabulous retro sounding Pete Hammond remix!
*Take That are releasing a brand new single this month. The song is called "Love Love" and is taken from the new (prequel) X-Men:First Class movie. They have previously provided a song to the films director Matthew Vaughn - a couple of years ago they provided the excellent "Rule The World" in the film Stardust. Take That will premiere the new single at the National Movie Awards next Wednesday at Wembley Arena in London.
*Mylene Farmer has announced her next single. It will be "Lonely Lisa". The singers latest single (the title track from her new album "Bleu Noir") went in at number 1 on the french singles chart, becoming her 7th number 1 single in a row!
According to E! News, "Judas" (the controversial new video from Lady Gaga) will be released at 7pm on Thursday On Idol.
The short film, directed by Laurieann Gibson, cost over $10 million to create.
