Erasure is SO refreshing! BTW the new Galaxy background looks great, and happy one year anniversary on blogger! Can you believe it? We have been on here a full year...Time Goes By...So slowly! ;) Congrats! xoxoMM

Erasure have been badly-served by Mute records with this single, methinks - a cobbled-together video and no remixes imples a distinct lack of confidence from the record company. We still love them, however! Jx

PS congrats, boys, on the "Year of Blogger"! Having tranferred every blog I ever wrote on MySpazz over to here, I now find myself heading for my 2000th blog - gulp!

Yeah, I feel that Erasure have been handled rather badly with this album, considering that there havent really been any actual videos for the singles. However, it seems that Mute understand their audience pretty well, taking good care of the Erasure back catalog with the excellent reissues, actual CD single releases, loads of DVDs etc. And instead of releasing these dreadful 2 track CD singles, Mute releases FULL singles for Erasure with loads of tracks, even if it means they wont count towards the charts. I'm guessing that putting money into videos that wont be played on TV and probably only wathced online by fans who buy their releases anyways just doesnt make sense moneywise...

Yeah, I hadnt even thought of the fact that it has now been a year here on Blogger. Thanks Marky sweetie and congrats yourself. We are in for a major Kylie treat this year on your blog :)

Jon, the fact that you actually moved all your blogs from MySpace is incredible. I thought about doing it for 10 seconds and then went "oh God no - way too much work!. Maybe one day I´ll start moving everything over...

Well, let's hope that Mute's efforts do pay off for the boys - unfortunately in this "nano-second memory" world we live in, it tends to be the video artists that get the sales these days...

The great "blog transfer project" did take me months to complete (three years' worth of ramblings), and is not for the faint-hearted! However, as a back-catalogue goes, I am quite proud of it. Jx

This is very true - music videos have been making a massive comeback (most of the videos being watched on YouTube these days are actually music videos, much to my delight).
