SOTD...

French singer Sheila (who shares a birthday with Madonna) is here to deliver the SOTD.

"Spacer" (produced by Chic) was released in 1980. It reached #18 on the UK charts and was a Top 10 hit in most of Europe, selling more than 5 million copies worldwide. Twenty years later the backing track of the song was sampled by Swedish band Alcazar for their breakthrough hit "Crying At The Discotheque". I love both versions, although I don't think the original can overshadow the fabulousness of Alcazar ;)
