SOTD...

Cyndi Lauper released the second single from her sophomore album True Colors in November 1986.

"Change Of Heart" peaked at #3 in the US and became a big fan favorite (I was thrilled to see her perform it live a couple of years ago!). Here is Miss Lauper going crazy at London's Trafalgar Square:

It's like a travelogue of the West End - Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Westminster Bridge, even the Albert Hall (briefly) - the tourist board should have made her an ambassador!

The song itself has just about every immediately identifiable musical hook that mid-80s America loved - the echo-ey drums and cymbals, the twiddly bass bits, the key change - it could be a Hall & Oates number, or something Pat Benatar might cover. Cyndi did much better than this, bless her. Jx

I really think so too my dear Thunderbitch! I am sure it must be possible to be twins and still be born a year apart!

I agree Jon, the song is a bit Benatar-ish, which is exactly one of the reasons why I love it!
