Flowers For Fans...

Kylie Minogue will release a single in September that a lot of her fans (including myself) have been hoping for. She will release "Flower" as a single on September 24th! Taken from her upcoming Abbey Road Sessions album, it is not known yet if the single will actually come out as a physical single or if it will only be a digital "single".

"Flower" was written by Kylie and Steve Anderson and it was originally recorded during the sessions for the 2007 X album. The song did not end up on the album or as a B-side to any of the single, but Kylie did a stunning performance of the song on her X tour. It became an instant fan fave and it is great to see it finally getting an official release!

And here is this months K25 surprise: a live recording of the excellent "Tightrope"!

Two amazing songs! It will be interesting to see how a slow Kylie anthem does commercially, but most of all I look forward to hearing her sing it on stage at the Proms in the Park! Perfect for that occasion... Jx

I am SO freaking happy Flower is gonna be released! Could a Big Beautiful Ballad (showcasing her stunning vocals!) be the biggest hit of her career??? Wouldn't that be a hoot!?

I am in heaven. After the somewhat lacking Timebomb, this is fantastic

I love "Flower" and I hope it will do well. I think it is time for Kylie to do something else then just her usual stuff (and after the not so stellar "Timebomb" it is great to see her come out with a quality song).
She is capable of so many things and while I LOVE her upbeat pop stuff I really enjoy it when she balances that with some more laid back stuff. Now, can we convince her to put "Alone Again" as the b-side ;)

I also love "Tightrope", so glad she decided to pick that one for this months surprise!

Also, according to UK Mix, the new version of "Flower" will be an orchestral take which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in late 2011.
