George Michael has announced a
new album.
The singer will release Symphonica on March
17 through Virgin EMI/Universal Music Group as his sixth solo studio album. It will be released as a standard 14-track CD as well as a hardback deluxe 17-track CD edition.
The collection was recorded during
Michael's tour of the same name back in 2011-12 and will feature covers of
classic tracks, including covers of the Roberta Flack classic "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", Terence Trent D'Arby's "Let Her Down Easy" and Elton John's "Idol". The album also incudes several re-recordings of Michael's own songs.
