Having just read a post by the lovely Jon who went to see Marianne Faithfull in concert over the weekend, I thought I would post this 1999 documentary about the lady.
She is an absolute unique talent that never really seems to have found the commercial claim she deserves. No one else has that voice, that's for sure. And then there is her life story...

Her life story is a truly salutory one - who (least of all she) would have thought she'd survive the fall from glory, heroin addiction, sleeping rough, and cancer, and still bounce back the way she has?
She is a remarkable woman, and I feel privileged after all these years to have seen her live at last.
