CONFIRMED:
After Avicci mentioning in a recent interview that he had an "upcoming project" with Madonna, the queen of everything has now announced that she is indeed working with the Swedish superstar DJ.
From Madonna's Instagram:
"Doing some house work before heading
to the studio with Avicci!
#artforfreedom #clean"
Which she shortly later amended in:
"Doing some house work after 4 hours
of sleep which is why i cant spell! On my way to the studio to work with
Avicii! #clean"

Madonna is making music with EDM star
Avicii, she told the world via Instagram on Friday night. "On my way to
the studio to work with Avicii!," was part of the Queen of Pop's caption
for her Instagram photo of herself in black fishnets posted late yesterday.
Avicii, who saw his track "Wake Me
Up" reach No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year, had simply tweeted
"Studiomode!" several hours earlier.
There's been no word on what exactly the
pair worked on last night, or whether the sessions were intended for a future
Avicii release or Madonna's next album. In February, she confirmed to The
Canadian Press that she was working on the follow up to 2012's
"MDNA," saying "Plans are in the works already. Don't ask me
with who, it's a secret. Top secret."
Madonna's affinity for Avicii is well
known. She famously popped up as a surprise guest during the Swedish DJ's set
at the Ultra Music Festival in 2012.
In addition, it seems that Madonna may be working with longtime songwriting partner Patrick Leonard!

I feel "The Emperor's New Clothes" situation where Avicii is concerned - I don't think he is as good as he likes to think he is. But hey, let's see what the "snub-nosed monkey" can do for Queen Madge! Jx
Well, let's not forget that Madonna is also a producer! What she brings to the table is an awful lot, and I think that they could make a fantastic match.
Her last two album (although good), suffered from the lack of her usual hands on approach - she was busy with her personal life, planning tours and doing a million other projects at the same time as she was recording these albums. Right now it seems that she has cleared her schedule to focus on this album. I have a good feeling...
I really hope she is focusing on the album, her last 2 album were a bit unfocused like you said, I hope with all my heart that she is working with Patrick Leonard again, she has so do a few song without DJ's, but you are right she is an incredible producer in her own right.
Ok I do have some strong feeling towards her......

It would be incredible if she works with Patrick again (and according to his bio, he IS working on some new stuff with her). People tend to think it has been so long since they did anything together, but he did the score for her 2008 documentary I Am Because We Are.
I think we are in for a great album. Now, if only she would do a couple of songs with Zedd too - I may have to send her a fax, suggesting that...
