A fresh batch of tracks I'm listening to at the moment.
This lot includes what seems to be my favorite
Eurovision entry this year, a somewhat intriguing
Madonna cover (although obviously much inferior to the original - but that goes without a saying) and a couple of hilarious songs dealing with the bloody onslaught of social media. Enjoy.

Another pop potpourri? How fab!
Let's get the unlistenable out of the way - that horrible Kally-Saunders thing. Hungary really does not want to win Eurovision, does it? "What should we send to Europe's première music festival - home of silver glitter hotpants and pyrotechnics? I know! Let's send a dirge-ballad by a failed X-Factor groaner on the topic of child abuse, with a video featuring scared children in grey anoraks. That's exactly what the audience wants." Not.
All the rest are sooo much better...
...but does the world really need another cover of "Holiday"? Even one by the faboo Capital Cities? I doubt it.
A new song from my beloved Blondie is always welcome - I am not sure about this one, however, on first listen. It's OK, but not special. I'll get into it eventually, no doubt.
Willem Belli is such a tasteful girl. I love, love, love "Hole Pic", and have my camera at the ready :-)
I can see what Jessi Malay is trying to do - the sort of "Vogue"/Runway music that was so huge a few years ago. It is catchy, alright, but she is no Andrea Doria nor George Morel. Nor even our darling Luciana. We adore her, and in combination with the all-conquering Dave Aude, there really can be no contest in the "fierce diva" stakes. "Fuck all the hashtag housewives", indeed! The best of the bunch, methinks.
As ever, keep up the great work, sweetie...
Jx
Considering that Hungary is my favorite entry this year and placed second in the yearly Eurovision Fan Club voting, this song is exactly what (at least some of) the audience seems to want in Eurovision. The competition isn't exactly fierce either - if there was a stronger selection of songs this year, then this song would probably score a bit lower. But as it stands, I find it to be by far the best of the bunch this year.
I think the Blondie song is indeed a grower and I much prefer Jessi Malay over George Morel (the one by Andrea Doria is pretty good though). My favorites of the bunch are the ones by William Belli and of course Luciana - both had me in stitches :)
