Maybe Tonight...

As previously reported here, Sandra is releasing (with Blank & Jones) a compilation CD of remixes. And now it has been announced that there will be a brand new single release from Sandra next month - although the track is not included on the album! The song is called "Maybe Tonight", comes out on May 11th and can be pre-ordered here

"Maybe Tonight" is written by Jens Gad and features vocals by Hubert Kah. No more info has been made available, but this is a new song, not a remix of an older one. It has been described as "perfect pop that really should become a hit".

I think that the single is actually the first release from her forthcoming album (which is supposed to be out later this year), not really a continuation of the B&J compilation. More info as soon as it's made available!

Sandra recently did an interview, where she talked about a lot of different subjects. Here are some tidbits from the article:

Comeback: She's relaxed. She does music mainly for fun and to give something to her old and new fans.

Changes in the music business over the last 2 decades: It got faster. You rise as a star today and be forgotten tomorrow. She mentions especially the "talent" shows today. 20 years ago you had to work really hard to be called a star.

Success in eastern europe and asia: They like experienced musicians. These areas are not a big market to sell music. So many artists avoid promotion in these areas. Sandra loves to exite people and so does promotion here.

Musical career for her twins: Musical talent is there but they don't intend to step into Sandra's footsteps at the moment.

The new album: She's working in her own studio. There will be surprises on the new album. She believes that it will be a new milestone in her career.

Upcoming concerts and TV-appearences: Moscow and Latvia. After the album release there will be appearences in Germany.

What current musice does she like: Bruno Mars, chartmusic and Lounge music.
