Tracks...
I am sorry about the lack of updates recently, I have been (and continue to be) quite busy these days.
There has been pretty long time since I uploaded a batch of new tracks that I like. And there is a simple reason: there just haven't been that many! 2012 is going down as one of the most uninspired music years ever. But, there are still some treats to be found and here is a collection of some of my favorite tracks over the past few months:
(Thankfully, in the almost complete absence of good, upbeat pop music I have been having a great time over the last few months with a musical discovery that I will post about soon)

Finally managed to have a listen to these - we both have a lot to occupy our time lately, it seems...
You are very right. It has been a shit year for music - and as much as I love your compilation posts like this one, I refuse point blank to even click on anything by Chris Brown or Celine Dion. If that's what counts as music, I'm María Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Moquiere de les Esperades Santa Ana Romanguera y de la Najosa Rasten!
As you know, I love PSB, Kylie and The Gossip, and I did post that Marina & the Diamonds video just because the boys are so hot (the song, however... yuk).
George's song is bouncy enough, but may take a few more listens to really get there. I love France Joli (my - hasn't she grown?), but that bloody "Hallelujah" song does my head in, dance version or no dance version. And I obviously haven't had enough drugs to appreciate that attempt at an "anthem" by Swedish House Mafia and Bon Jovi - sorry - John Martin.
Miss Amos is at it again, stealing Kate Bush's style. Sorry. I feel as much respect for her as I do that GaGa creature and her incessant theft.
I do quite like the Bat for Lashes song. I don't mind Miss Del Ray, but I do wish Missy would cheer up!
"Angel" is a typical slice of histrionics from Ms Brightman. I can't help but wonder how she will be allowed into space now she's had so much godawful plastic surgery - won't it all go squidgy like Plasticene?
So, of your selection it is a toss-up between the very lovely Miss Paloma Faith and her marvellous cover of INXS's finest moment, and... of course - my Hispanic goddess Monica Naranjo (and as you know I dedicated a whole post of my own to her...)!
I'd better get searching to see if I can find anything else that will grab us both...

Well Miss Rasten, just consider it took more then 2 months to come up with this selection - speaks volumes about the current state of music, doesn't it?
The best of the bunch IMO are PSB, Bat For Lashes, Tori Amos, Gossip and Kylie - not to mention the fantastic Swedish House Mafia track!
Do we think Miss Brightman will perform "Angel" in space? No matter that or her face, I do like her. I agree though that "Angel" is a very typical Sarah track - but that is not a bad thing in my book.
Hopefully we will stumble onto something truly fabulous in the coming months - we are quite overdue!
(PS: I'll take Chris and Celine anyday over crap like Rihanna, Katy Perry and about 90% of the rest of the current chart music. But that's just me...)
Don't get me wrong, I agree Miss Brightman has a fabulous voice... It can be heard from 250,000 miles away!

PS I'm searching, I'm searching...
PPS María Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Moquiere de les Esperades Santa Ana Romanguera y de la Najosa Rasten is the real name of Charo, and I'm not about to transform into her - so I'm sorry, "Miss Adam's Apple" and "Mr Wife-Beater" still don't count as listenable in my opinion.
PPPS Don't get me started on the shit in the charts... :-)
