SOTD...

The Eurovision/Gay Olympics final is almost upon us. To celebrate that (and the upcoming weekend), here is one of my favorite Eurovision entries - courtesy of Ukraine's #1 gay diva: Miss Svetlana Loboda!

Loboda represented her home country in 2009 with the fabulous "Anti-Crisis Girl" and finished in 12th place. The way over the top performance may have been too much for some viewers, but I was obviously rooting for her...

The cog system, or as Loboda refers to it "The Hell Machine" was taken back to Ukraine after the competition. Svetlana said that she didn't want it to go to waste - now it's apparently in her father's garage. "The pets play on it" she stated. I sleep better at night knowing this...

Here is Lady Loboda in all her glory - she's SO my anti-crisis girl!

Tracks...

It's that time again - a bunch of tracks that I am currently listening to (although some of these were actually released a year or two ago). Enjoy!

Tracks...

Time for the first collection of tracks for 2013. The year does not start off all that interesting, with a very disappointing Depeche Mode single and new songs from Hurts and Sarah Brightman that are not bad but just don't deliver what I had hoped for. Videos for both songs have disappeared from the internet (the Hurts video is currently being re-edited to remove some "controversial" matters, including burning crucifixes - hello 1989) and I have no idea what happened to Sarah's video. I don't dare to try to upload either of those myself, so I am not including them for now.

But here is my first selection of the year. We have amongst other things some drag queens (courtesy of Boy George), an ex-Calling singer making a bloody Adele song work (for me, at least), a porn star with an unusual partner and Svetlana Loboda being rather dramatic over here in Iceland (she did NOT pop in for coffee - I am obviously very distraught!)

Tracks...

It has been a while since I last posted some new/recent songs that I like. And it continues to be rather hard to find songs that I really like. But here are a few:

(I only post tracks with actual music videos/TV performances, so songs like the brand new one from Cher will be included when the video comes out)

Tracks...

It's been a while - but now that things are returning to normal here in the Galaxy, here is a bacth of tracks I have been playing a lot over the last few weeks. And as usual, you'll find a pretty weird mixture...

This lot includes a devil in a revealing outfit, two "tigers", swedish reggaeton, Terence Stamp, latino papis, Infernal singing in danish, a video of a band playing their song in a somewhat, erm, explicit way, Svetlana Loboda with a beard, two creepy middle aged ladies making their own men - the list goes on.

My absolute favorites of the bunch: the teaser track from the new Pet Shop Boys album, the new Marina And The Diamonds single and of course the new Sandra single (fanmade video to the extended version of the song, which was produced as an homage to her 80s sound - love it!!!) I have been playing the CD single on repeat since I got it...

Leave your comments!

Tracks...

Time again for some of the recent tracks I am listening to right now. Some tracks I really like here - especially the songs from Electric Lady Lab and I Am A Camera (thanks Jon for the latter!!!) But my absolute fave, and one of the very best songs I have heard so far this year: the new single from Toni Braxton!

It is a fantastic combination of her signature R&B sound blended with dance music and with some eastern influences. The track is written and produced by Toni herself and its taken from double album Heartstrings And Synagouge Vibes which will be released in May.

Heartstrings, the first disc, will feature nine songs that showcase Toni's roots as an R&B and dance artist, while the second disc, entitled Synagogue Vibes, will showcase Braxton touching on new trends by incorporating world, Jewish and Arabic music to the nine songs on the Heartstrings disc. I absolutely can not wait for this album to come out - I have loved every one of her records so far, and this one sounds like it will be a treat!

Ahem - but back to the tracks:

And: the just released, official remix video for Madonna's "Girl Gone Wild"!

Tracks...

Here are some tracks that I adore at the moment (especially the first one - amazing track and a fabulous video - BTW, am I the only one who thinks that the "girl" in the video looks a lot like Britney Spears) ;)
